BATTERSEA POWER STATION VISIT

Battersea Power Station has had a remarkable transformation into the centrepiece for a new residential area, with the riverfront and gardens surrounding the power station transformed from industrial wharves for off-loading coal into lawns and informal prairie-style planting.

Meet at 10.30 at the entrance of Battersea Power Station tube (terminus of the Northern Line). The ticket, to be booked in advance and by 28 April, costs £19pp (this ticket does not include the cost of using the chimney lift). This visit is also open to friends of Members. Buses 137 and 452 stop on the south side of Chelsea Bridge, which is on the Battersea Park side of the Power Station.
