Designed especially for members of the Kensington and Chelsea NADFAS group, this unique small-group tour will be a very special autumn visit to Dresden with art history specialists Art Tours Ltd.
Highlights will include visits to the great domed Frauenkirche, the Zwinger Palace and Residenzschloss and the peerless treasures of the historic and new Green Vaults. A traditional steam ship shall take us along the Elbe to Schloss Pilnitz and we shall visit the town of Meissen and its museum of ‘white gold’. Outside of Dresden, the beautiful grounds and collection of Moritzburg will be a delight, along with a private wine tasting and visit to the glorious Saxon vineyards of Schloss Proschwitz.
There will also be an option to enjoy a performance at one of the world’s greatest opera houses, the Semperoper or other musical performances at Dresden’s world-class venues (subject to the schedules released in spring 2017).
The 4* Hotel Steigenberger de Saxe lies in the historic heart of the city, steps away from the Frauenkirche. We are delighted that the tour will be led by a local expert licensed guide. She has been guiding groups around Dresden for over 20 years.
