Howard Walwyn has celebrated 25 years of buying and selling fine English period clocks and barometers in Kensington Church Street. Howard Walwyn will give a brief history of clock making and introduce us to longcase and table clocks by some of England’s greatest clockmakers:
Thomas Tompion, Daniel Quare, Joseph Knibb and Christopher Gould.
The talk will take place in the gallery at: 123 Kensington Church Street, London W8 7LP.
We will first meet at 10.00 for a coffee at ‘Pret a Manger’ at 65 Notting Hill Gate, by the Tube station south side exit (Circle & District lines) and from there we will walk five minutes to the gallery.
